House with Personality
RAINBOW!!
AHHHH God's beauty
Rainbow mist.
I took this one as soon as I left the house to be sure I didn't miss it. So this includes some of the local buildings.
This has the RAINBOW and the RAIN in one picture. Pretty amazing.0033
It is about time that I get off my airplane and catch up! I have lots of new pictures and "stuff" to share.

Tuesday's Walk Home
Out of nowhere, these folks sailed right here to Teller. Several villagers came to see. One told me that there are two men aboard the sailboat, one from Russia and one from Poland. They came to shore on their dingy, went to the school visited. Then they talked to a local here and he was taking them to his camp. The weather turned and they couldn't make the trip. I am excited to go out tomorrow, Wednesday, and hope there is another drop dead beautiful sunrise AND their sailboat is still here.
My walk home...

Tuesday's Walk to Work
Another detour to work on Tuesday's walk to work
It has been along time since there has been two nice days in a row.
Can you believe this?
These are the real colors. I did not enhance anything.
Have you ever seen anything like this?
Incredible isn't it. Breathtaking.

Monday's Walk to Work 9-12-11
Monday's walk to work. I had to take the long way to work to feel this sunrise. Of course, I ALWAYS have my camera with me and I can keep that experience forever.

Ride to the Spit 9-11-11
A nice Sunday. Winter is coming, we have to take advantage of the sun when it shines. On this sad day 9-11, we decided to take the four wheeler and I took my first four wheeler ride. I was very hesitant to get on the back of one. But I put on my big girl panties and JUST DID IT. It is all decked out leading with a reindeer skull. I forgot my leather jacket, darn it anyway.
We rode out to the spit. My oh my. It was really pretty AND we found starfish on the rocky shore. And across the ocean there were hundreds of birds, seagulls, feeding on something. Some kind of little fish. My camera has a killer zoom and I got some great pictures of the birds diving and eating.
And in the rocks were starfish. I have never seen them in real life before. We collected a bunch of them. Ron put laid them out to dry. Then I am going to send them to my Grandkids so they can break them. lol I joke. That is how people here way "just teasing".

On a Walk and Sunrise
Here is the sunrise on my walk to work on my first day. And after work, Ron and I took a stroll on the rocky beach. This is the reason, the quiet and beauty here in Alaska, in the Tundra, in the Bush, on a Spit, in a Village by the harbor and strait and ocean. ahhhh
My tale of Oatmeal and Feet
Lunch Lady Update:
5 days on the job. 2 days days cleaning and counting the 15 GALLONS of fruit cocktail. And lots of other stuff, amazing. Then the third day... the THIRD DAY ... cooking breakfast, lunch and snack. Oatmeal first breakfast. I made a lot...it kept growing all by itself. Growing and growing and growing. It isn't Quaker, it is possessed. Just saying, possessed. Beware.
And, of course let's not forget the appendages that hit the floor. They haven't seen so much activity since, well, let's see.... actually I would rather not discuss how long ago that was. Putting that tidbit aside, I snapped this picture and immediately went to bed Unbelievable!
